THE FORD GT DAYS.
This is the big meeting of the European Ford GT Owners Club.
Owners, specialists and simple enthusiasts meet there to celebrate the Ford GT.
LE MANS CLASSIC.
It is the largest gathering of vintage cars in Europe with nearly 200,000 spectators, more than 600 cars competing on the 24-hour circuit, and 8,500 vintage cars exhibited by the enthusiast clubs.
This exceptional backdrop gives added interest to the Ford GT party.
THE SPIRIT OF THE EVENT.
Shared passion, conviviality and friendship, moderate budget, are the axes of this gathering.
The Club organizes it on a totally voluntary basis, and in a spirit of sponsorship.
The sums requested for tickets ( at a reduced price) , meals or accommodation, only reimburse the invoices of the suppliers without the addition of a single penny.
PROGRAM.
ACCOMMODATION DURING THE WEEKEND.
Most of the participants will stay at the Hotel "Les Sittelles", in Montfort le Gesnois.
Les Sittelles is, just twenty minutes from the circuit, a very pleasant three-star hotel, modern, air-conditioned, located in the middle of a wooded park, with a large car park and a restaurant.
We have negotiated privileged conditions there, far removed from the totally abusive prices and excessively long stays imposed, in the region, during Le Mans Classic.
The “Club” rate obtained is € 245 / night, for a single or double room, breakfast(s) included, with a minimum stay of two nights.
Friday, July 1 : WELCOME EVENING + FILM.
It will take place at the Hotel Les Sittelles, in large surfaces opening onto the Ford GT car park.
We organized an aperitif and a dinner there, on the theme "discovering the gastronomy of Le Mans".
During the evening, we will screen an exceptional film about Ford's return to the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. In this 1h20 film, in English, and which we have ourselves subtitled in French, intervene the leaders of Ford, of Multimatic, of the racing team, engineers, pilots, etc….
The hotel charges us a flat rate of € 75 per person including :
An aperitif with 6 dishes and two glasses per person.
A hot regional poultry dish.
A table of regional cheeses.
A local dessert.
A bottle of regional red wine for three people.
A coffee.
(Excluding any additional consumption to be paid individually).
Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 July : LE MANS CLASSIC.
We organized the grouping and exhibition of the Ford GTs in a privatized space laid out along the circuit, in the midst of the most prestigious Clubs, and facing the British GT40s.
We will have set up a shelter, tables and chairs.
Participants will be welcomed and assisted in French and English by young enthusiasts.
Throughout the weekend, everyone will be able to freely enjoy the many exhibitions, thousands of rare cars, and the racing spectacle, day and night.
The tickets will give access to all the facilities of Le Mans Classic, in particular the very interesting paddocks, throughout the weekend.
Their price is 80 € / person ( reduced "Club" rate ).
Ford GT owners will have to pay a supplement of € 100 per car, for participation in the development of the exhibition space.
Saturday July 2 : GASTRONOMIC DINNER ON THE CIRCUIT.
During the weekend, with the races following one another day and night, many people want to take a break, enjoying a high quality dinner comfortably and among enthusiasts.
It is for them that we have reserved some of the rare tables of the gourmet restaurant located on the circuit.
We negotiated the aperitif, the meal and the wines there, for 100 € / person.
