Le Mans - Amazing

Ok, so here's a small update. The Matech team has had...a long day. :lol But it's a long week and they will live to fight another day. Both cars were injured in excursions off the track but we watched them reassemble the cars and they will be back in action later on. What an amazing sight to behold, all the LMP1, LMP2, GT1, GT2 cars all on the track at such different speeds.

I didn't Chip was a Vulcan, check out the 2nd from the top image, he is definitely giving some interstellar cosmic vulcanology communication with his figners!

When they win this race, can we all agree that BLUE is indeed the fastest color?

But NOT if you have a rear bumper delete ..........

What's the name of the closest swanky hotel so I can reserve NOW.

Nothing swanky around. Best way to do it is as we've got it. We're staying in a very nice, very country-ish French house in the country about 24 km away. 18 of us there now.

the country about 24 km away.

Speak American damn it.

Thank you so much from all of us who cannot be with you.:thumbsup

Tom

Could you guys please get the sizes and makes of the wheels and tires they are using? They do look very worthwhile, and would look super on a RED car.

Fantastic photos and reporting guys keep them coming and have way too much fun !!

Man, thats all the pics you guys can post!!!! :thumbsdow You guys are slacking off.
Lets pick it up!!!!:biggrin

Chip: Stop flirting with the drivers! Just because she is prettier than you can can drive faster backwards then you can forwards is no reason to flirt and their skill does not rub off no matter how tight you hug them. Beside, they need to have their minds on the race. Stop it!!! :willy:biggrin

I never new Chip was so popular with the pretty women!!
Oh by the way my cell phone is also international ,call !!!!
Boy oh boy ,I think you guys are having to much fun!!!
Best of luck to the team!!!
Go blue !!!!!!

GO Ralphie , you tell them like it is!

Surely these young drivers will remember that Le Mans is an endurance 24 hours race and not necessary an all out speed race. Gt's have to finish the race which is a great accomplishment for their first year. Tomy

Leh Keen

Chip, Dave, et al -

Please look up and say "Hi" to Leh (pronounced 'Lee') Keen, a local Charleston, SC, hot-shoe who will be driving a Hankook sponsored Ferrari. Leh just got the drive as a result of his 2nd place finish at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. Tell him the Charleston "Homies" wish him well...

"In the world of Leh Keen, competing in this year's Le Mans 24-hour is another step in a fast-moving parade. After getting a victory at the Sebring 12-hour in the GT Challenge class aboard a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, Keen co-drove to a runner-up finish in a Ferrari 430 GTC at the Nurburgring 24-hour in his first start in the classic enduro. Next up: the great French endurance classic, where he'll be driving once again for the #43 Hankook-shod Ferrari team of Horst Farnbacher."

I really want a blue GT now...

Great posts and photos guys. Thanks so much for making us all feel like we are there. I'd trade all my previous Le Mans trips to be at this one. Unfortunately I am stuck in Asia.

It is sure good to live vicariously through The Forum though.

Go Matech!

Any sign of Carroll Shelby? If its anyone's moment to be relived it's his!
