I'll be there this Saturday and hope to meet many GT owners there. I won't be bringing my GT as it is in the shop for a nav and rear camera install though.

Be sure and post NAV and back up camera details, pics and costs, if you have time. Given the rear visibility, this would be a very practical upgrade, in my opinion.

Also, I am lost without navigation. Thanks in advance!

I plan on being there even if it rains...I'll just bring the daily driver instead of the GT. I would like to hear about the rear camera!

Hope to meet more GT owners as well. See you all there!

I have an awesome idea...

Next Saturday, the weekend after the officiall last Saturday, we ought to all showup with non motorized wheels and take up as many parking spaces as humanly possible.

Imagine if we all showed up with Bicycles, Tricycles, Scooters, Edges, Unicycles and even funnier, if we rent Wheel chairs and ride those bad boys in, holding pictures of our cars. Better yet, have our wheel chairs pushed by local bikini models - after all we are at the beach and no one should complain!

Imagine the media coverage; " THE WHEEL CHAIR RALLY AT CRYSTAL COVE"

I vote for BONY to be our mascot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would love the details on the back up camera. The sound of my diffuser scraping against a parking stall curb is worse than nails on a blackboard! Who is doing the work?

The Irvine Company is well known for their, let's say, asshole approach to doing business. They make decisions and the rest of Orange County has to deal with it, and they often do it with attitude. Overall they are a positive influence, but some things they do are not cool.

The shopping center was struggling for the first few years, so the Irvine Company needed the traffic to the center for recognition. Now it's doing better, so the show must go. This is the likely situation.

I also live near it.

Yes, this is absolutely true. It is set far back from the coastline, so visibility is very poor for drive by traffic. No one was really there at all, and the locals can't support it, since they can only buy stuff at boutiques so often, and there are few homes in the immediate area by design.

We all laughed at how Irvine Company must have had strong financial incentives to get it leased (e.g. we'll let you in our popular Center X, in you put a store in at Crystal Cove).

Now, it's more popular than can be imagined, and they kick out the Car Show.

Only one word for it. Lame.

So what time should we get there? In the past I would arrive at 6am and be one of the first in.

hard to say. They won't open the gates until 7:00am. In the past the police won't let you line up on PCH or the side streets. However, last week there were no police because of the 100 year anniversary of Newport Beach (they were all needed near the piers).

I think there will be heavy police, this being the last weekend. If it doesn't rain there will be a lot of cars showing up. With all that said, I would take a daily driver considering it would probably rain. Show up at 7:00 and just park in the regular lot and enjoy the show....

See you all there!

I don't understand why. Ford steped up with a great location in Irvine and now people are trying to split the show? I would like to see just 1 place be popular.

I think that people would like to get something to drink and donuts in the morning. That is why I think they moved it from Ford.

But I may be wrong.

I was at Ford the first time only. But they had coffee and stuff outside and a cafe open on the inside. Has that changed?

I am not sure if that has changed.

I also heard that there were about 200 cars in Irvine this past Saturday... so maybe a lot of people are not going to Balboa and they are staying in Irvine... I am going to try and make it to Irvine on the 2nd of Dec. also.
