SAAC - Nor Cal will be organizing a car coral at Laguna Seca. You must be a member of NorCal to participate. The coral is free, but you have to buy the entrance ticket from them and join if not a member already. Question, anyone interested in going? GT's are welcome. Great way to spend Saturday.

Peeble Beach - best concours in the world, no tickets at the gate, anyone going?

Concourso - AWSUM has started a coral. This is a great event, perfect way to spend Friday.

Group dinner - any interest? Now would be the time to secure a great restaurant.

Very timely. I will be in the Mini corral at the Historics with my daughter's Cooper S. Cooper is the featured marque this year. Get reservations in soon.

Concorso Italiano is all about lots of cars. There are many corrals outside the main exhibits of Italian machinery. (Ruf, Porsche, Vipers, BMW, Mercedes, hot rods, etc.) You should have no problem working with CI and getting space. Suggestion, get there early to avoid traffic snarls. I have decided to avoid the tarffic and go to the Quail at Quail Lodge. You must get tickets early as they will limit the attendees and will sell out. Think smaller Pebble Beach quality of entries with great food and wine included. Steve Earle has a contingent of early Friday qualifiers drive over from Laguna Seca for lunch display. Best show besides Pebble on the weekend.

Pebble is limiting the entries this year, so smaller field. (about 175 instead of the 300+ last year). Still great classics to be seen.

The best place to see the Pebble beach cars is in downtown Carmel Thursday at 12:00. A large group of the car drive down Hwy 1 in the morning and turn around about Big Sur. Pull over to the side of the road just south of Carmel about 11:00 and wait for them to come by. Have your camera out for the return trip as they drive right by you. Then follow the last one into Carmel where they are on display on main street for a couple of hours. Maybe not as elegant as Pebble beach, but better value and it leaves time on Sunday for the Historics. This link will take you some of the photo's from last year

Look for a red GT along the road with some cobras and vipers.

The link was truncated, sorry. This one should work. Just scroll down to the middle of the page and follow the link to Monterey photos.

The tour is great, but only a small part of the car participate.
Peeble Beach is the number one councours in the World, period.
Most auto CEO's attend, it site is beautiful. The Concours donates their profits to charity, I am happy to support their good work.
