Just saw a preview of the new season; and they had a snippet of Jeremy's GT back in the Studio.

Not sure if he is eating humble pie or flogging

I thought he returned it...........

Jeremy?

Humble pie? Flogging? Returned it? I thought he loved the car so much that he bought one. What's the scoop? C'mon, Enquiring minds want to know...

Heard they installed some aftermarket alarm and the elect system turned into a nightmare for him. Story says he returned it after no one could fix it right after many attemps. He was GT bashing for a few months.

Story also says he missed it, so he bought another one..sounds familiar around here huh. :thumbsup

They did a drive that featured the Zonda, F430 and the GT. The shorter blond guy makes mention of his selling and buying back in this episode.

Someone else may have better or more correct details. This is what I gathered from all I read and saw on the shows.

JC sold the GT some while ago and now owns a Gallardo Spyder.

My understanding was that he had a few 'Tracker' problems with the car (Tracker being the anti-theft device) and also that he tried to jump start the car from a trickle charger which caused a few more electrical problems.

Because he's rather used to being pampered by car manufacturers, he lost patience with it and sold it to buy the Lamborghini. He hasn't bought another as far as I'm aware.

He sold the Gallardo quite a few months ago. I believe he's driving around in a barge Merc now.

I thought he bought a Mercedes-Benz CLK AMG Black series, and that is no barge ;)

Dunno to be honest. Someone said what he had at the Focus RS launch last night and it went in one ear and out the other. The general thought was he wanted something easier and more comfortable in his old age :)

I'd be surprised if he really owns that.

I think I saw that too on the next top gear (7/29/08). Be aware that they are re-airing season opener of 2006 episodes now, not new 2008 episodes.

So what channel is this on, BBC America, someone mentioned "TopGear" I assume that is the name of the show? What night, I actually enjoyed this guy's video initially because the Ford GT made him soil his underwear, but also the bravado of his voice in describing the fact that the FGT could blow the Ferrari 360 Modena "into the middle of next week". JC rocks.

For us Yanks to understand the Brits this might help.

Being British means:

a-britflag.gif

A Working Day in the Life Of Britian

1. Your Job is working for a Franco-German company based in the UK
2. Getting into your German BMW to drive home to your flat owned by a Pakistani landlord
3. Stopping off at your favorite Irish Pub to meet some of your co-workers on work permits from Poland
4. Grabbing a couple of pints of Stella Artois and some Hawai'ian BBQ chips
5. Smoking a few American Marlboro cigarettes
5. Ending up and a local inexpensive Indian Restaurant trying to get a decent Curry
6. Using your Finish Nokia or American iPhone to call your girlfriend or check-in with Mum
7. Arriving home to sit on your Swedish furniture
8. Turning on your American Mac Powerbook
9. Having a pint of Irish Guinness
10. Watching television on your Korean Samsung television.

It's my favorite country outside the Old U.S. of A., and the best pub crawls in the world! Right N.? Where else can one get an excellent chicken club sandwich, sit outdoors, have a nice pint of Kronnenburg, and watch the eye candy walk by, and everyone speak English???

BBC America at 8pm. Be aware that BBC America does not keep up with the normal UK broadcasts of the show. To the best of my knowledge they haven't even started to show series 11 at all, while the allegedly last episode in that series will be shown this Sunday in the UK. There has been no mention of or imagery of the GT in series 11, so what's being shown on BBC America must be re-runs of older series material. Great stuff if you haven't yet seen it!

Ah yes, dear old Blighty.

I'm not sure what we're good at any more - we don't make cars any more, but we do serve a nice cup of tea and I've got furniture older than America.

Oh, and Clarkson is ours! :biggrin
