...who wouldn't mind taking a look at a car for me?

I've located a restored '59 Impala, 348, tri-power, 4-spd in Asheville. The party handling the sale is in Va., but, the car & its actual owner (a widow...'husband restored the car) is in Asheville. The widow (understandably) is not too keen on 'showing' the car on her own. The guy handling the sale will be in Asheville to take pics of the car "in about 10 days". The actual date isn't in concrete yet, but, I'm assuming it'll be on a weekend.

What would need to happen is for my 'surrogate' to look at the car when the 'sales guy' is on site to take the pics. :rolleyes ("Life is not simple", as my dad used to say...)

Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able/willing to pull this off.

A 'shout out' to Gordo is in order!

Thru friends of his, he uncovered a couple of 'inconvenient truths' about the car I found...not the least of which being the fact that during the car's resto, its color was changed from the origional 'green' to its present 'red'...which means its 'trim tag' doesn't match now...aaaaaaaaand the fact that the price has somehow mystically and magically gone UP $10k since I talked to the fellow handling the sale 2 weeks ago! :biggrin

For my purposes, the "tag" situation really doesn't matter IF the price of the car can be brought into line with the 'mismatch', since the 'tag' will likely matter to future owners and therefore will affect the price received. So, we'll have to see what happens here. The jury's still out...

THANKS, Gordo! :thumbsup:thumbsup
