Was at a Autorama show this past weekend and saw this product in action. Pretty cool and simple. Expensive, but for those who have told horror stories at a car show, not a bad item to have. Obviously in some venues using this might be an invitation for someone to be an idiot, but at a show this is great.

You copied that from IndyGT. You two must have stock in bubble wrap.

How much protection does that really provide?

'Zero' for all intents and purposes. The 'barrier' is only psychological.

Damn, nice product, but $1500???

'Totally unnecessary to spend anywhere near that amount. 'Made my own out of 6 orange traffic cones (2 at the front of the car, 1 on each side amidships, and 2 in back). 'Strung nylon line around the car thru holes I drilled near the top of each cone. ('Painted the cones to match the car in order to cut down on the 'ugly'.)

But, what you're going to find is any moron who refuses to take the not-so-subtle hint provided by the barrier will simply bend at the waist, lean over the ropes/lines/whatever, and rest his hands on a tire or fender to support himself while doing his 'up close inspection'...and, of course, all the CRAP he'd placed in his shirt pocket(s) that day will fall OUT and bounce off the car during the course of his 'clever' maneuver. This is sometimes followed up by a meek, "Oh...uh...gee...'sorry", being uttered by the inconsiderate jackass. :mad

Is it too early for a Zacapa XO???

:bang

first off that's nothing new. that idea has been copied for the last 25 years at car shows. it would be worth the $1500.00 if like someone asked above "is it elctricfied with 15000 volts" !! than I might consider it.
