As far as insurance goes for the NFGT-

What companies and how much (ballpark) are owners paying?

Haggerty quoted me $3400 for 600k valuation. I know there are a lot of variables but just trying to get a ball park figure.

Thx for any input.

I'll check but all my expensive cars are through hagerty and my new GT will go through them, very difficult to beat their prices.

Email me (drew@classicins.com) if you would like a price, I can email you back what we need to put something together. My knowledge of the Hagerty product means more than likely you might be on their Private Client paper at that rate. Standalone pricing is much higher than that. We have a contract with Hagerty specifically for access to the Private Client product (multiple cars, high insured values, deductibles can be a % of value). Range at this point with my primary carrier American Modern is in the $3-$5k range depending if single car or you have a collection, etc; single car pricing with Hagerty is usually higher than American Modern, however, as I tell a lot of clients it is never apples to apples when you are talking insurance on the car forums. States vary in rate filing, large or small collections vary in how it affects rate, etc.

I was going to say that 3400 for 600K seems very cheap-

Just wondering if yogi is right, that you are on "private client" status?

I'm with you Ed. When it comes to the nuances of high end auto insurance Drew or Yogi95 (Classic Auto Insurance) really knows his as well as other insurance carriers products. I have multiple cars with Drew and am extremely happy with his insurance knowledge and service. Just talk to Rich at the GTGuys to see what a hassle some carriers are when a claim arises.

Who is Haggerty using as the the Insurer? Is it Aviva? If so, be very very careful. I had a $500,000 claim on product that they said "mysteriously disappeared and yet there was police report and full investigation that said it was stolen!! Had a big fight and settled. But they are absolute pricks to deal with when it comes to actually paying out a claim.
BEWARE!

As I recall, my contracts and paperwork have usually mentlioned Essentia, too

Their website says Essentia, as well as Nationwide Mutual, and Nationwide Insurance Company of the USA

Aviva is the underwriting carrier in Canada only. They have been using them for 6 years and the collector car piece is an Aviva Wayfarer Specialist Division, more than likely the experience would be different for those Hagerty Collector Car customers.

Thanks guys for your business. Appreciate it and the friendships we have made over the years through the Forum. I will be in Salt Lake/Park City for the Rally, at this time I am thinking I can hold court in the hotel lobby on Wed and we can review polciies, etc during the course of the day. More info to come on that as the Rally nears. I am coming in late Mon but have to leave Thurs afternoon to get back home for a commitment locally in Indy.

Cool! I'm looking forward to seeing you there. I bet Hagerty isn't sending anyone! I'll make sure Dr Frank buys you & me a beer!
