Good luck finding carbon fiber anything.

That is an interesting and surprising statement.....why is there no availability? It isn't particularly difficult, the car isn't particularly rare (there are CF parts available for my Diablo, which is less than 200 cars worldwide). I spoke with this company awhile back about more Diablo CF stuff...at the time they said they would do anything, I'll call them.

Thanks, are there any GT-only events? I'm so over the zoo that is cars and coffee, and all of the nice smaller West side shows have shut down. I haven't taken the Diablo anywhere in over 2 years.

totally agree with you, I have not taken a car to the "zoo" for a few years now, if I ever go Ill just go in my daily and park far and go and see the cars... as far as GT only shows... not that I know of.. unless we just make one up ourselves.. most of the gt guys in houston are on this forum... one of the spots I like to hit up from time to time is ottos BBQ in stafford its usually a older classic car meet although sometimes some newer cars can be there as well.. but generally its a good small crowed of real car people.... I wont be there today but its usually on saturday nights around 6pm to about 9pm.. From time to time you can find tiago another forum member, there with his tungsten car.

Bought a 2005 Ford GT

After a 6 year saving effort, I bought a 2005 Ford GT last week. I drove both a Huracan and a 458 recently, and while they are great modern higher...

Thankfully, Memorial City C&C is no more. I would go a few times a year but it was always a clusterf*ck. The fact I kept going back shows how smart I am
Lots of smaller car gatherings around town. Just went to one yesterday after I managed to get my car started

Hey Ed, read your posts on the battery / ground situation.

I was just over on the C&C Facebook page, other than the suspension until April, I haven't seen where the event has been scuttled permanently. Of course I won't be heart broken if they did. It was once a nice calm event up at Vintage Park circa 2012. I have only been to Memorial City 2-3 times (without my Diablo of course) and thought it was a waste of time.

Do you have a calendar for these small gatherings?

C&C organizers have other events, but to my knowledge, Memorial City is dead. The Woodlands meet up that they organize is a lot better than C&C. Much smaller and no idiots with Mustangs and Camaros.
No calendar of events I’m aware of and nothing GT specific. Just gatherings I hear about word of mouth or on FB.

I bought it at that time, had Rich (GT GUY) come out and inspect the car. It was the personal car, of the owner of Sunshine Ford. The A/C compressor was leaking, the power steering pump was leaking, all 4 shocks were leaking, the front and rear struts (frunk and clamshell) were shot, the tires were the originals, and he wouldn't budge a nickel from the asking price. He did promise me, he'd get me all the parts I wanted, at his cost (which he did). Rich still thought the car was good, so I bought it. I shipped it out to Rich, he fixed all the known defects, put in the short shift, his cross pipe, smaller pulley and tune, lowered it, and a few other things (changed the gauges, that were all working, and are now put away), and I've been enjoying the car ever since.
