Hi all; As the title says I have been on the hunt for a blue or black, 4 option, 05-06 Ford GT for the better part of a year. I am looking for something in the 2k-10k mile range and have a preference for an unmodified car with service records.

I am located in the Pacific NW but I am willing to consider a car anywhere in the continental US.

I am willing to pay market value but as this is my long term dream car I want to find the right one.

After discussing with a current GT Owner locally they suggested I should try posting here to see if I could find one that way.

Thanks for your help!

Where in Washington are you? I'm near Vancouver, and there are a a couple handfuls of members in the Seattle area.

And, as the Pickle Doctor said above, watch BaT.

I am way up North in Belingham (near the Canadian border for those that don't know). By the way PeteK, I like your tag line - I drive all my cars and plan to drive this one when I find it as well!

I have been watching BAT , Cars and Bids, Sotheby's, and a few other places religiously, and reached out to the seller in every case a car was close to my parameters. Frankly it's been a pretty frustrating experience. Most of the cars have been with resellers (not in itself an issue) but most had little or no service history and even have had a seller expect me to bid near his reserve before he would let me have someone see the car. Just not comfortable dropping the better part of half a million USD on that basis...

I know the right car is out there its just taking a lot longer than I expected to track it down.

Be patient, grasshopper. The right one is out there, it just takes time to find it.

I also sent you a PM so check your messages (the envelope icon) on the Forum.

I recently saw a picture with the Macintosh on the consul and thought so ugly, has all the esthetics of a toilet sitting at your elbow. Try and find a picture and be sure this is something you really want. It does limit what might be available.

thanks for sending, I prefer the striped cars so its very hard for me to justify paying a premium for a stripe delete car and then potentially paying even more to add stripes after the purchase.

If you plan to drive the car, it has been maintained and the mileage is reflected in the price, 41K miles is not a problem.

Did you look at the one i posted above in Vegas ,it seems to fit your requirements & very well priced ,as i found out your gonna have to pay a premium for a Blue car ,but it's well worth it .

Ditto. I have 86Kmi on mine with only regular service. Two members here are past 140Kmi. The cars that get driven regularly have fewer problems than the ones that sit.

Too late @drilling ! I bought the GT from Vegas that was posted on this thread by @Twturbo.

I flew there last week and it is enroute to my detailer for a full paint correction and PPF and a few other odds and ends (new tires and axle bolts) and I should have it in my garage a bit after that!

Single Owner with 2,250 miles. He hadn't had the car on the road for circa 12 years but still spent the money to have it maintained irrespective.

I even got to go over the car with the tech that has serviced the car at Team Ford in Vegas for the last few years, gauges have already been replaced, airbags done, oil leaks sorted, and the Owner has been great to work with so far. Frankly I kept waiting to find something I was missing as both the Owner and his rep seemed almost too good to be true after the run around I have found on a number of other cars.

Thank you to all who helped me - it appears I have finally found my unicorn!!!!

I can't put into words how excited I am...
