I have been buying refill resin filter media directly from CR Spotless for my deionizer. It works well, but they raised their price 35% recently.

Years ago member @bonehead recommended a different source that by luck happened to be nearer to me. They too have quality resin for our deionizers. I bought some today.

It is not only more tha $100 less expensive, their 1' cubic foot bag has 25% more media than my last 1' cubic foot CR Spotless bad had.

Check out the FAQs at Spotless Water Systems. Lots of variables. Model, total dissolved solids (TDS) in your water, flow rate (pressure washer is much more efficient than hose), how long you spray.

I think I roughly figured it's about a dollar a wash. My well water is like liquid rock. I've been buying resin from Windows 101 since I got my GT.

Apropos of nothing, I won a $400 system with this crappy video. I don't think they had many entries in their contest.

If I use my well water, I kill the resin almost immediately. If municipal water, I get about 10-12 car washes with complete spotless drying. I can do more washes but the effectiveness does diminish over time.

I Couldn't edit my first post, The Windows 101 bag fills my 1' Spotless cardboard drum to the top and enough left over to fill one of my jumbo filter canisters. 25% might actually be closer to 10%.
