And in a reprise to the Beatles last public performance on January 30, 1969, on the rooftop of Apple music's headquarters near Piccadilly Circus, Paul McCartney and his band played a seven song set to a stunned group of assembled fans and many folks who just happened to be in the right place at the right time, as they did it on the rooftop of the Ed Sullivan Theater marquee during yesterday's filming of Late Night with David Letterman. An estimated 50,000 New Yorkers gathered on the streets below.
