I'm slowly learning more about my new friend. Id like to learn more. A lot more. Can you recommend websites, books, tech data, etc that will help me understand the history, development, engineering, etc of this fine auto?

Obviously this site is great if I have specific questions, but I'm looking for more encompassing info.

Thank you.

Check the FAQ at the top of this section.

Good book: http://www.amazon.com/Ford-GT-Legen...YLPC/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1286806670&sr=8-5

And you can just ask. If you've got a question, chances are, the answer is in here. :cheers

You can also buy all the technical papers in book form off the SAE website. It's extremely detailed technical info.

Talk to "Empty Pockets". He has the highest ratio of Knowledge-to-Miles....

Jason, I have the book that DBK recommended. I'd be happy to loan it you for as long as you'd like to have it. I also have a nice book that SVT put out awhile back. If you want to read an excellent narrative of the GT40 story I'd suggest picking up a copy of the book Go Like Hell. I don't have a copy, but that book is fantastic.

Excellent! I'll shoot you an email. Thanks!

Do you do your own oil changes? If not, that's a place to start.

May a rabid desert dog spend a month romancing your shin... ('apologies to Johnny)

I have not yet, but open to learning.

DVD video "Rebuilding A Race Car Legend" is good info.

This Discovery channel DVD as mentioned by FUBAR above is a must if you can find one. The 2005 or 2006 dealer source code book has some good unique car info. The Helms manuals, The Ford " Rick Titus " owners instructional DVD is priceless as are The Ford GT Coffee table book and the Ford GT team book .. and if you really want to learn about this car start taking it apart ...:biggrin
