I swore, I'd never get another black car again!

I don't know, there's just something about black cars...

My family is growing (physically bigger, not larger in numbers) so I decided it was time to sell my beloved '06 Dinan MINI Cooper S and get something with a little bit of practicality.

Sold it to the first person that came and checked it out. He drove it back with his son, 3,000 miles to Virginia with some sight seeing in between.

I found a mint CPO 2010 Porsche Transsyberia, with all the bells and whistles, just 600 brought to the states.

And.....

Another black car.

I call this sibling rivalry...

The Ford GT was actually my very first black car, and I never thought I'd get another black car, well at least not my next car.

Oh well, I guess it's a sickness. Taking the GT to a local show tomorrow, to support the local community college, auto shop programs are getting cut left and right in this economy.

Also pulled the final part of the FORD GT striping. I like it!

It's not fatal Randy.
I've had the affliction for 25 years and 5 black cars.
You'll learn to live with it.
Great purchase by the way!

That's a GREAT looking pair Randy. They look fantastic together!!! Unique too that the GT is sans stripe and the cayenne has one. ;-)

It's funny, I was kinda looking at that too in the photo, and it made me think about what the pair would look like if they were both striped. I did buy a spare set of stripes a while back - wonder how long the adhesive will last if it stays on the factory backing without being applied onto a car.

And since it's sibling rivalry, gotta treat them equally:

Too easy. Pass. :lol

You're sick. But still took the high road! :lol

And black is still whack!

To all: Quit worrying about the dirt -- it's on all the cars, not just the black ones.

Just because you can't see it as well doesn't mean it's not there.

Did an early morning show to help support the Long Beach City College trade programs. Would be sad to lose these long standing trade programs. Spent some time talking with Automotive Technology Professor John Louie and learning about the tough challenges they are currently facing.

Looks good. Thinking of using it as a tow rig for the GT?

I've never actually towed or trailered anything. But that's a good idea. I think it can tow 7,000+ lbs, so I guess it means I need to be looking at more toys soon. Haha

I have been thinking about it myself with my Cayenne Turbo. Not so sure about the wheelbase providing enough stability, but the weight capacity is there.

She'll be fine for a light duty tow. I wouldn't be towing 21k lbs with her - but 7k on a short trailer would be fine.

Great garage, but it's on a pretty steep hill!

Seriously, GREAT looking pair of cars. All black GT is dynamite.

I have not been a fan of Porsche’s side-market vehicles but that is a really good looking SUV. Let me know when your done with it.
