The GTX1 prototype is for sale in the duPont Registry for $1,600,000. No joke. There's probably no such thing as a "new" GTX1, since it's a conversion of an existing GT. It's a phenomenal choice for a driver. Call Mark at Genaddi @ (920) 242-4563. If there are any other used ones for sale, Mark will be the one who will know. If you get one, you'll never look back. :cheers

I thought Mark already sold that one for 525K. What am I missing? Did Mark build two prototypes?

New Record Sale for GTX1 $525,000.00

Genaddi Design Group is happy to report the Number 1 GTX1 production car was successfully sold on June 5 th, 2007 for $525,000 to a private collector, who wishes to remain anonymous. The car is painted Valencia Orange with Titanium stripes, like the SEMA prototype. The reason for that color choice, “which by the way is only available on a SEMA Edition”, was done to commemorate the prototype and to start off the build of the GTX1 cars. The 2006 GTX1 is fully loaded with all current options available through Genaddi Design Group and had 19 miles on it at the time of sale. The car is equipped with the following options;

GTX1 upgrade work
Custom Paint in Valencia Orange with Titanium Silver Stripes
Carbon Fiber Aero Package
*Rocker
*Splitter
*Diffuser
GTX1 Style Wheels & Tires
*Adjustable Shocks
Silver Grommet Sparco Race Seats like prototype
Wilwood two-piece rotors and 6 piston calipers
Eclipse Stereo 5.1 with Touch Screen Navigation
*Back Up Camera
Carpeted interior floor mats with GTX1 embroidery
Short throw shifter with Aluminum Knob and shaft
Transaxle cooling system
Brushed aluminum billet GTX1 coil covers
Convenience Package
*Flexible Cup Holders
*Center Console Pocket
Performance pack upping HP by 150HP
*Genaddi Design Group Cat Back Silencer System
Bright Silver Painted supercharger and cam covers
Hidden Rear Bumper
American Flag Badge on front fenders
Rear Trunk
GTB door upgrade
3 piece removable hard top
*Matching paint

The GTX1 Number 1 car will also receive a very unique fender badge that reads 001/600 because the SEMA 100 and GTX1 500 will not signify numbering that reads up to 600.

The GTX1 that sold for $525,000 was the #1 Production GTX1. The car that's for sale now is the Prototype GTX1. This Prototype was the predecessor to the production cars. It's the car that Kip Ewing and Mark Gerisch built and introduced at SEMA in 2005. It made the covers of most of the popular car magazines and was featured in Jeremy Clarkson's DVD.

Kirby, thanks for the clarification. I am sure prototype is a very unique car and I hope it finds a good home. Maybe Mark G. should give Jeremy Clarkson a call, after all he had nothing but accolades to say about it. In the end of his video he said, "If I could keep one car from this film, this would be it!" Of course Mark would have to install a better alarm system than they did in the UK.

But for me, instead buying this special GTX1, I would buy a GT in every color and have more than enough spare change left over for a GTX1 conversion if I chose to.

We're in agreement about a preference for one in every color plus a GTX1, so maybe the Prototype is for the guy who already has those 9 cars. :cheers

GTX1 in Long Island

I traded my GTX1 to (deleted by Bony) last week. Its Tungsten 2006. 1111+ miles. #34. I saw it on the showroom floor when I picked up my trade (McMerc SLR) ...

I will probably buy a Ford GT back sometime next year ...

FYI: Tungsten GTX1 is listed on both Ebay (min bid $219M) or Autotrader $229M right now at the (deleted) east coast dealer. Certainly below replacement cost, right?

Assuming a market price for a low miles tungsten at approx $170K, and a conversion price of $48K (per GTX1 websiter), then replacement cost should be around $218K, but prices could vary considerably depending on options.

The tungsten GTX1 on eBay seems to have Penske shocks, Dymag carbon wheels and an oil cooler too.
