Black... the hardest color to maintain.
But when it is "perfect", a site to behold.

He uses a product I wanted to share that works on every color and is great for black paint.
His name Michael Cunningham and he owns Mirror Detailing: PH 770-354-7010.

Took him 5 hours to get my car looking perfect..shiny.jpgreflection.jpgBlackfire.jpg

Car Looks Great! are your rims painted of powder coated?

They are powder coat. We did them

Harvey - looks great. Can you use that stuff on clear bra? My black car looked pretty ratty after a few days on the track and the road rally. I spent about 2 hrs getting the nasty stuff off and doing a basic cleaning. Had to lie down and take a nap afterwards !

Yes you can.. He also applied wax by the way.
BTW, I was unlucky enough to be parked in the hotel lot in a space that was under leaking water.

The water was full of minerals and had all night to attack the paint.
The spot had to be wet sanded to be removed and there is slight etching remaining but not noticable
at all to the naked eye.

I was ready to bill the hotel for repainting but won't need to do that..spot.jpgSpot 2.jpgspot 3.jpg

If that was just from overnight, I would say the hotel was leaking acid, not water. Or if it was water, it came directly from the lake.

Having recently been in SLC, We noticed the shower water was incredibly difficult to get off (that slime feeling of excessively soft water).

"Salt" lake city .... yuck.

Lorenzo and I did notice that leaking in one of the parking spots...........there was a red GT originally parked there.....then we saw the black one... Lorenzo and I tried in vain to locate the owner...in fact we made DBK aware of it...but it was late at night and not knowing the owner nothing much more to do but wait till morning.........of course after the horse left the barn...someone put yellow tape to close that parking spot.....sorry for your troubles.......it looked like water at the time...

I just picked Black fire, clay'd my GT and applied this afterwards. Man is it awesome and easy to apply and remove, even on black. I am in the process of doing all 3 of my cars with it now.

I can direct ship this to anyone that wants a bottle of it. $ 29.99 plus freight. PM me if anyone is interested.

Glad you like it... best I have ever seen my paint.

Your post inspired me. So far I have the Roush and the GT done.

Is that stuff better than Meguiars Ultimate wax? My car's color is tungsten.

For those that have used Blackfire - how does it hold up compared to products like say Zaino....

Getting ready to load up on a order in the next weeks.....

My detailer used this product and waxed it with another product..

What was the product he waxed with?

"What was the product he waxed with?"

Sealant first... then this:

I wanted to test it out on its own without any other product and it works really well. They also have a carnauba paste wax to augment it called midnight sun. Its $ 59.99 I can get that as well.

Mike I can't speak for its longevity but in regards to ease of use compared to zaino this is much easier to apply and remove.

Gtfun,
Great results as black is difficult color to shoot. I've found there are no magic pills for results like this, so my question is what paint prep did your detailer do prior to using the Blackfire sealant? Most detailers have a secret for their results and begrudgingly divulge them.

I called Michael and hope to have him out soon. Will keep you updated.
