Fellas, after a year of looking and having two deals fall through at the 11th hour, I got a 2006 Heritage and completed the deal yesterday.

Big thanks to all of you for answering questions, I wil have more.

The car is getting the pulley and tune. Any other suggestions? Exhaust? Short shifter??

I need to figure out the seat and possible bubble, I'm 6'5". My wife asked where I was gonna park it. "your Lexus is gonna be outside". needless to say, I might be sharing my sons bunkbed for awhile.

Good time to mention building the Garagemahal. Congrats on the GT. Yep, I did the pulley, tune, short shifter, exhaust, and numerous other mods.

Mike, congrats!!! As a fellow Heritage owner, hell, as a fellow GT owner, I'm thrilled for you!!

As for pulley and tune, I'm sure that there are lots of opinions. I personally LOVE my Heffner pulley and tune. Torrie can also provide some killer tunes (see Stormcats recent mile results!! :thumbsup) For exhaust, all I can say is DEFINITELY DO IT!!! Again, lots of great options, I'm very happy with my Heffner pipes. I did my pulley, tune and exhaust myself. Short shifter. That's personal, but I love mine. I understand that it's not that complicated to do, but I had Kendall put mine in for me, so ease of install is completed speculated by me.

For the seat, well, I fit in mine, but I'm a few inches shorter than you. One of my friends had Shadowman do a seat lowering adjustment on his seat. He's well pleased.

Stick with a forum sponsor for your parts and you really can't go wrong.

When do you take delivery? Mine is almost ready for it's hibernation period :thumbsdow so please do post up pics of yours and your mods as you do them.

And again, congratulations!!! :cheers

Mike, a big congrats! What Pro said, +1.

Also, from one Heritage owner to another, we got the FASTEST color!!

Yes, do the Pulley & Tune, you won't regret it!! If you are anywhere near Northern Cal, Shawdowman is who you'd want to any mods on your car.

Enjoy the car.

Thank you for your business Mike! This Heritage is THE ONE! Like new car with remaining warranty and only 280 miles. We are doing the pulley and tune tomorrow. I also reccommend an exhaust, possiblty bridgestone potenza tires, clear bra, bumper delete and seat buttons. Call me in the AM to discuss further.

Thanks Shelby, the timing just worked out here. I had been looking daily and that car popped up, a few others were out there but yours was available immediately. I had convinced my wife that night that this was a REALLY good idea! I had to strike in her moment of weakness.

Do I get the record for latest phone call? 1:30 am your time to close the deal?I was expecting voicemail but I got this groggy guy on the other end negotiating, good stuff.

I also wanted to say thanks to Bernie. Bernie thank you for all your help, we tried to get some owners to work with us and by no fault of yours they could not part with their cars. I appreciate all your time and effort and hope to meet up soon.

"But, Honey....The car need's nothing. It really dosen't. I promise I will just drive it and have fun. No more late nights working on the car, searching the net for cool stuff to add. The Car does over 200mph stock. what more could it possibly need." :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Oh, I remember the days:biggrin

Good idea sneeking in the mods before she comes home. Wish I would have thought of that. Shelby has very good taste and a great eye for detail. You are in good hands. Congrats ! :thumbsup

Congrats man. My only suggestion - have Shelby do the mods now, while he has the car. Otherwise, you'll be wanting to do them in a month or two anyway. I had my seat lowered. At 6'5", it was the single best mod on my car.
Short shifter, clear bra, exhaust, seat lowering, Mac relocation, transaxle cooler, pulley and tune will get you started.

I too ran out of garage space and have an easy solution. I bought a four post lift and am now stacking cars. I have the FGT on the bottom and my Viper on top. Sounds kinky but it works! You will get used to the bunk bed. My wife didn't know I was getting my FGT until the truck pulled in front of the house delivering it. She would not look at it or recognize it's existence for about 9 months. She got over it and I am sure yours will as well. Enjoy!
