You discovered the little blonde slut.
That was my orignal avatar, but DBK said no t/a on his site... so she is waiting for folks to find her. It especially annoys me when folks think that
I only appreciate brunettes, as you have discovered I have a special place in my heart for blondes...

Hmmmmmm - I thought she was mine alone... ha ha ha.

I've not yet had the opportunity to listen to the Accufab exhaust - which as we all know is essentially a "muffler delete" system. The "big block Can-Am car under full tilt" description makes it sound like it is essentially the same as the Ford Racing Rear Exit Exhaust (headers, not cats, very small collector-mufflers", which I have. The curious part for me is that the Ford Racing exhaust has absolutely no drone - anywhere in the rpm range. Under normal cruise or very moderate accelerations for freeway hills, the exhaust is fairly quiet - almost eerie considering how loud it gets with mid to full throttle applications.

I applaud Accufab's system and their competitive price point. It would be great if there could be some additional tuning to eliminate/mitigate the drone. (I suspect it is also theere on the Ida exhaust as well, although it is not talked about so much.)

Nota4RE,

That is what I am waiting for: A smaller, lighter weight, heat reducing muffler delete that doesn't drone at a reasonable price.

The system that Beach-GT alludes to in this thread http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2143 looks promising.

New Exhaust

I'm getting closer. Had to fix my milling machine and ran out of welding gas. I plan to weld it up this weekend and run some tests to finalize the design. I have high hopes for it because The other options fall short of my mark. :biggrin

I know 2 possible fabricators who might be able to duplicate my design for a reasonable price. I've spent way too much time on this one to be practical to produce more the hard way. I had the flanges and bracket laser cut for me but had to mill cut the pipe components and removable muffler inserts. Since I'm nearly filling up the exhaust holes in the bumper eveything has to fit perfectly. This will either be great, or just another piece of crap. At least it will be an engineered piece of crap if that's what it is. I'll post pictures and sound clips so you can judge. I will send off my design patent application first though. This is not another 3 inch pipe job. :lol

Accufab- Thanks for the info. So the SCT tune you sell... is it just a handheld programmer that comes pre programmed for "plug and play"?
Thanks

Beach, I'm dumb about what you'e doing, but don't you have to meet some specifications as set down by the government or the EPA? Get it approved or something? Just asking, I always loved innovation.

ETW, yes, that is correct. It is a hand held SCT tuner with a pre-programed fuel/air map and spark curve that you can down-load (or is it up-load, I never know) into the engine management system. You also have the ability to shift back and forth between the original OEM program and the Accufab program, plus the SCT unit will dianose any check engine lights and clear codes and can be used for data logging and file transfer.
