I've started the disassembly process to change the supercharger pulley, and I have come across a connection I'm not familiar with. I don't want to break it trying to figure it out... anyone know how to remove it?

Here's a photo...

Hi Jeff, looks like you've started your pulley project.

I had to chuckle a little, I had that exact problem with that crazy fitting. I think it's my 60 year eye sight.

nzo5 has you going in the right direction.

Good luck, and let us know if you have any other questions.

We can get you there no problem! It will turn out great!

That's it. Just take your time. Do you need torque specs?

Funny, I just came in from the garage with torque specs on my mind! Please tell.

I'm really having fun working on this car, it's beautiful... inside and out!

Well, don't give me any credit, as Shadowman's the guy who helped me through it.

Yeah, I did some pics, etc., but he's "The Man".

Good Luck, I'm sure it will go perfectly!

Super charger should be torqued down in 2 stages. starting from the center and working your way out. The first time around torque to 18 in/lb. The second time around to 18 ft/lb. The sequence is like this for the 8 bolts.

8______7
4______3
2______1
6______5

Bolts 8 and 7 are snout end and 6 and 5 are throttle body end.

Just a suggestion, anyone working on your own car,go to e-bay and get the work shop manual. I think the average price now is about $50. Its a great idea even if you don't do your own work.

A friend of mine has a subscription to Alldata http://alldata.com/ . It might be a good alternative or addition to the book.
