Some info and Specs on the car
1971 Chevron B-19
# B-19-10A
A legitimate piece of racing history with FIA Papers.
Raced by former F-1 World Champion Jodi Scheckter and Eddie Swart
In the golden racing era of the late 1960s and the 1970s, Chevrons were seen across most categories of racing and were instrumental to the careers of at least six future F1 World Champions, including Former F1 World Champ Jody Sckeckter. Thirty-five B19s were built, and the model was strong in ultra-competitive European 2-litre series.
The Car #B-19-10A
1971 Chevron B19 ,
According to Ed Swart and Helen Bashford-Malkie of Chevron Racing Cars Ltd, B19 number B19-71-10A was purchased new by legendary race car driver Eddie Swart in 1971 to race in the Canon Racing Team in Europe and later in the Springbok Series in South Africa with Former F1 World Champion Jodi Scheckter as the co driver with Ed Swart..The car was then sold back to some in 1972 and it later went back to South Africa.
Since then the car made it’s was to USA where the entire car was totally restored by Amalfi Racing and upon the completion of the rigorous restoration, the FIA was commissioned to document the car as authentic and provided the FIA paperwork. The front page of the FIA form is shown below, All of my documents will provided with the purchase of the car. The car is currently in race-ready condition.
Unlike the Lola’s from the same era, the Chevrons have ample room for taller and / or "thicker" drivers as well.

Engines- Yes I said Engine(s)! There are two Fantastic motors
1- In the car now – A Millington 2.5 liter racing motor. If you are unfamiliar with the Millington engine, it is an evolution of the Cosworth YB motor of the mid-80's. Millington casts their own aluminum block to mate with the Cosworth aluminum 16 valve head. The fuel system has an electronically controlled fuel injection system with individual throttle bodies. The conservative estimated 338hp is more than enough to easily pull away from any other BD and BMW powered cars. There is less than 9 hours on this motor. The sound this motor makes as it pulls away from the pack is like no other. ( see short test drive video at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6usYJSjteds ). It’s a monster !
New! / Fresh Steve Jennings BD Series 2-Litre
Engine 2- This complete motor is newly built over the winter with only Dyno time on it. This Vintage Class legal race motor produces approximately 300bhp – A phenomenal Engine. There was absolutely no expense spared in this motor. Some details include Carrillo Rods, CP pistons, Lucas 8mm Fuel Injection,AP clutch, Lucas Distributor and a Richardson Head.
If the winning bidder would like to have this motor installed, it can be arranged for an added fee, contact me for costs. Detailed build sheet will be available.
For those of you who do not know Steve Jennings, he is one of the most renowned engine builders in the word -Jennings Racing was started in 1974 by Steve Jennings. After apprenticing under Gene Crowe and then working as a crew chief on several endurance and F5000 efforts, he decided to go out on his own.
