So I love my Gt.One of the things I love is the HID lights. What really bites however is the blue high beam indicator light on the dash !!!Way to bright !!
Looking for some bright ideas on reducing the brightness!!
Anyone else notice this or am I the only one who drives my gal at night ???:eek

I AGREE, I hate being blinded by the Blue Landing Beacon!!! I took a small vinyl sticker that another forum member made to replace the fading black dots on our wheels and stuck it smack in the middle of the blue light. It blocks about 75% of the light and is virtually invisible during the day. I'll post a picture later.

On CP-15 we took the HID lamp out of an extra set of headlamps. Made a bracket and put them in the fog lamp opening.

It was so bright out in front of you.

The blue indicator seemed dim?

On a straight bit of highway, you could light up the EXIT One Mile sign.
And the actual Exit sign at the same time.

I have driven a few pro rally cars with full lighting, This was Brighter!

Rocketman, the blue high beam light was one of my few annoyances' with the car. The light is covered by a shudder that flips up to expose the light bulb, and seeing that it is a warning light it is not on the dimmer circuit. At Nardo the track is out in the country where there is very little ambient light. We would tape over the blue high beam and dim everything way down when running late into the night, and while the HID lights are very good the combination of the curve of the track and speeds in excess of 200 mph we were overdriving the lights by quite some margin. See you in Austin and will tell you a few night GT stories.
