We just had a countach from texas deliverd to us in Ohio for some repair work. The transport had a all black gt on it that had just been wrecked. Rumor is that it was taken for a test drive at a dealer and wrecked. d/s rear wheel bent underneath, lot of damage on d/s, all undercarriage panels ripped off, all panels hit, pushed front end into windshield. not sure where it is going.
Probably not going to buff out. ooops.:frown

hard to get good pics in the truck but we took 6.

anybody hear about this one?

This kinda stuff just makes yuh sick...

Another black GT in the tank. :ack From the description and photos looks like it's totalled but no doubt someone will try to piece it together.

Wow!

Is there any chance you thought to read the VIN and jot it down? Might be helpful for any of us ever considering buying another one to help negotiate price, etc.

Test drive a GT? Where do they let you do that?

'cause I got a bridge to sell 'em.

That's a shame to see.

A little while ago I went to take a test ride on a Triumph Rocket (a 2.3 litre engined motorbike - the largest production bike available). Despite having a full motorcycle license and having had several bikes - the dealer, at the point of giving me the keys, asked to see proof of when I last rode a bike... I said a couple of years ago and was refused permission.

I was not upset - and appreciated the reasoning.

Whilst I don't the facts in this case, I suspect it was inexperience of fast cars maybe. Why do dealers let this happen?

(My bet is the guy was a good customer. He COULDN'T have been just some shmuck off the street.)

pretty rare car--black with no apparent stripes !!!!!

#1451------red/white

looks totaled beyond easy repairs. might as well take this one to the heap. that sucks

You can donate the car to me. I dont mind having a salvage title FGT.

could not get vin #

As you can see, we could not get to the left side of the gt as it was almost against the wall. The transport driver was pretty protective of any info. He did say it was going to New York.......george :frown

New York? Sounds like another GTJOEY parts car. (and yes, I'm jealous) :wink
