Well... I have a set of the standard OEM wheels like you have on your heritage that have custom knock-off's attached. I was thinking of having the center section painted blue with the knock-off and the outside rims staying polished.

I've received a couple of PMs recently requesting close up photos of the wheels. Specifically, guys were interested in seeing how/where I taped them off. So, here are some close ups; The first two photos are the front wheel, the last two photos are the rear wheel.

No, they were painted. I have been advised on several occasions that the heat related to powder coating can adversely impact cast wheels.

Plus, paint is much easier to touch up from the inevitable stone chip.

'Never thought of the "heat angle".

I've always been told powder coating is tougher than a std paint finish ... so, that's why I asked.
