Snap, I think that bubble on the heritage does not look like a Salleen job. As I remember, and Aggie may correct me, the Salleen Gurney bubble is a little more teardrop shaped. Please check out pictures of Awsum GT's car. Aggie is correct, the price at Salleen was $6-7K.

I didn't know what it was until I saw the photos of the car at Saleen production with the door off, with the number "1" (not my choice) on the car, and even photos of the "bump" being welded to the door. Did anyone else have Saleen put numbers on their car? Pretty cool stuff as far as documentation goes. That's what's calling me to buy this particular car. It's fully documented by the dealer as being done by Saleen when new with all kinds of photos and an invoice. It's all there and I just love the car even though I'd be better of with a Z06 or following through with my planned AI Mustang purchase for next season.

To continue this major hijack, I will admit being interested in the Heritage GT that is advertised herein. I also did not believe that the one that's pictured above was really for sale at a realistic price. I now am having a hard time passing up the one pictured. I keep going back and forth on it. It's not a good time for me to buy really, but damn, the car is nice! OK, that's my story. Otherwise, I hope the seller here with the Heritage GT sells his car. I hate to dirty up his thread.

Now, as far as insults, I never mean to insult anyone and I don't know you guys either. However, I did not think my brief track record here left the impression that I'm the kind of person that posts Fiero tech on the Ferrari site.

Snap, Great to hear.
If you do a search under "Good News Bad News" you will find a few pics of my car next to Dan Durneys car and you can see the bubble. The previous post is correct in saying that the two bubbles do look very different. His looks lower and longer. This doesn't mean that Saleen still didn't do them both. If you would like I will go to Gurneys shop today and take a few close up snaps of the bubble inside and out.
Welcome to the forums.

Still for sale

I taking back my post I have had a couple of calls and Snap roll is a gentlemen. He is also in the aviation business and his family has a long history of being good operators. There are still people out there who must think we are really dumb very few people who bought these cars aren't aware of the current value and the future vlaue of these machines. Unless you won the lottery you had to me fairly smart to acquire the car in the first place.
