Beautiful pic, my buddy got some shots of an adult mountain lion in the front yard in Ruidosa, NM. I hope to see one in person, havent been lucky enough yet. Thanks for sharing.

Why half-ass it, when you can overdue it?

Yeah, maybe. But, I bet if one of your clients decided he was gunna "overDUE it" - yeeeeeew wouldn't be nunn too happy 'bout that, now would ya? :wink :cheers

(I'm going to my room now...:willy)

Had some visitors this morning. Opened the front door and right there 10 feet away was a not so small Bobcat. We both had an oh shit moment for a couple seconds then he snarled at me. I said freeze Mofo I'm going to shoot you!... with my cell phone camera!. I scrambled and snapped this pic as he walked up by the deck then ran inside for the good camera. When I came back out I see him walking away and with him was the Mrs. I barely got the lens cap off and they were gone. What I didn't realize when I took this pic was that she was staring at me to the left behind the snow bank. I bet 45-50lbs. Cool animals. Never know what is wandering around the house at night :)

The one blurry pic I managed with the good camera before they walked down over the cliff behind the house. I see so much cool stuff up here and rarely am prepared with the camera dammit!

COOOOL SHOTS, Mike!

If you hadn't mentioned the meow behind the snowbank I never would have spotted it. 'Too focused on the other one!

'Blew root beer out my nose when I read, "We both had an oh shit moment for a couple seconds then he snarled at me"! :lol

You have some gorgeous wildlife around your place. :thumbsup

Junior is just like lounging on your steps. Pretty cool.

Hey 'Blu/Luke...are any of the neighborhood pets that you know of missing as a result of your 'visitors'?

Ha when I was building my place up here i had a dobie that came up with me all the time. My new neighbor down by the road who owned some small dogs came up one day and accused my dobie of killing and eating one of them. I did my best to not start laughing and ask her what happened. She stated she let it out one night to go potty and it never came back. I ask her if she was aware that there were bookoo coyotes, mt lions, bobcats, foxes, and other assorted critters that wander around in the forrest that would have jumped at the opportunity to partake in some Fido Mignon. It was at that moment she began to realize she no longer lived in suburbia and the mistake that she had made...

We're in bear country too. In this part of the foothills the bears come out in the fall with ravenous appetites. They even broke into someone's house and got into the refrigerator. A friend's ex husband went on a trip and left his new truck parked up in Allenspark and when he got back the bears had peeled the window like a tin can (and there wasn't even anything in it). A neighbor had a mom and cubs that used their outdoor fountain as a watering pool. Mountain Lions (cougars, of the 4-legged variety) come down a wash but we've never seen one at our place. We had a bobcat sunning itself in our back yard this spring but I had pulled the flash card from the camera and my wife couldn't find figure out how to put one in before it went away. We get lots more damage from the 12 or so deer that come through and eat everything that grows. Can't have a garden.

I saw the one up in Estes Park last week that got in a car and the door shut behind it. It freaked out and destroyed that car before tearing a door off to get out.

You got the baby put up for winter? I'm going to back mine out of the garage tomorrow and warm her up. It runs like shit up here at 9000' lol. I need my winter storage at 9k' carb I can swap on for warm up duties. I have a sea level carb I may throw some jets in and swap in for the winter.

That's our big bug-a-boo here, too. The darn things are cute and all, but, krymuny...

Yep, pretty much. I put in the CoolTech battery tender last weekend but will use the previous charger wart since it automatically "disconnects" when it isn't needed any more. I haven't put the car cover on yet though - too cool to look at :)

I'm in Vegas this weekend - seeing the Eagles at the MGM tonight.

Over the years we've found out what flowers they won't eat too.

Oh, and we used to get rattle snakes but haven't seen one for a while.

You know, in all the times I've been to ARIDzona, I've never seen a rattler or a scorpion there. Even way out in the boondock areas. (Which is just FINE with me, you understand!)

The last one I saw was on the Grand Canyon trip. It was in August so warm, but it was right at dawn and it seemed lethargic warming on a rock. GC rattlers are a pinkish color. It was kind of a surprise and didn't get a picture of it.

One night there was a camp snake. It woke up one guy and then made the rounds to a few other sites.

Someone squished a scorpion between their air mattress and sleeping bag. The rule is to always shake out your shoes and clothing before putting them on.

I slept on my boat.
