Trying to do my homework. Comments on the pro/cons comparing the 1st level 700HP upgrades of the two companies.

Honestly there is little if any difference. A pulley and tune is a pretty simple mod. Both vendors offer good pulley and tune setups

I like both of the performance package options. almost the same.

Both are supporting vendors.

I believe both packages include the Accufab throttle body, you will definitely need the Accufab Air inlet support.

I would also check out www.discovery-automotive.com
aka: shadowman

IMHO. Highly recommend the following:

1. FRPP - Exhaust M-9430-GTX
- get them ceramic or JetHot coated
worth every penny.

either way you will need some type of upgraded exhaust with this performance setup.

2. NGK Iridium plugs
3. Halon engine bay fire system
4. Transaxle cooler kit
5. TA Transaxle overflow vented reservoir

Also, keep in mind, the HP packages are not RWHP, but a huge improvement over stock.

Good luck.

my vote is for Hennessey. I could not be happier with my 700hp hit he did for my car.

Once you are ready John does a great SC/TT kit as well. proven results too.

I feel the same about Heffner - Tune/ Pulley, Whipple etc....

dbackg pretty much summed it up with comparable options and requirements over both suppliers...

but - figure where you want to go with the car... As far as a pulley and installation of a tune - pick one and have the GT Guy's install it. They are closer than Heffner or Hennesey to you. Make sure the package has the SCT tuner with the stock, 93 and 100 tuner preloaded..... This is the first step to MORE!!!!!!!!!

No need to choose one over the other.

Buy a second GT and have both a Heffner and a Hennessey.

Then consider buying a third GT and have the Roush set up.

And when the time is right --a 4th GT so you can have the Ford Performance upgrade.

And then repeat this process when you decide to go the TT route.

What is the "Roush" set up? I have never heard of it...any details?

They offer a pully & tune for the GT, and it has great instructions with pictures on how to do the upgrade.

Can't go wrong with J.H. :thumbsup
:cheers

but the GT Guys are closer.......... and better yet, you'll enjoy being there with them while the work on you car - I promise.... you will see a side of the FGT that you are probably afraid of right now and better yet learn from them....

ie. they don't have to"rip" the interior out to get to the dog hatch for the Pulley change....

and you can hear, even see, of all the other mods they have done or are planning.........

Heffner includes a trip to his P.B. mansion.......Make sure you tell the ladies to bend way over & duck when getting in and out of your GT:willy

When he's done you might have a smile which lasts longer than 4 hours

Hennessey his cars run on special fuel to costly for me.
COGNAC VSOP maybe easy to get in some towns but not mine.:eek

Depends on who is closer to you I guess.

There are probably 50+ people in the country capable of doing the job.

And 250+ people in the country not capable of doing the job right but will take your money anyway!
