I gave this some thought and have a solution, but haven't made it yet. You can cut the shaft coming out of the brake booster, it is 1/2" exactly. Then shorten by about 1/2" and thread the half of the shaft that has the eyelet connecting to the brake pedal using a 1/2" x 20 die. Next make a sleeve out of 3/4" hex bar stock about 2.5 to 3" long blind thread one side to accept the thread shaft on the other side drill a blind hole to accept the remain rod from the brake booster. Add a lock nut to the thread side and a set screw to the booster side of the sleeve. To adjust loosen the lock nut and rotate the sleeve to raise of lower your brake pedal.
