Heck I had to wash both the GT-90 and the GT just sitting at a picnic with them in the back yard, the dust was to much to bear putting them away like that last night.

To you So-Cal guys, at least we got winters in Mi. they help us to help us keep our miles to a min. washing to a min. and builds up our desire to drive our gals and wash them in the spring.

Kind of reminds me of being a kid and finding that summer girl friend on vacation:banana

Yes it's back from England so we had her out for show & tell yesturday.

This week or next I am hoping to take some picture of the two together and post them up.

Forget closing off the vents with tape, used distilled water or de-ionized water as Jason recommended and good micro-fiber towels. I have a water deionizer unit hooked up to my soft water bib which is virtually spotless. (see www.crspotless.com) I then use a garden spayer with distilled water to clean up and water marks AFTER the car has dried. You can also blow out the deinoized water with a filtered leaf blower or filtered air line. I think you would be making far too much work and potentially scratch the car with tape, plus you won't be able to thoroughly clean the car if you are limiting where you can rinse and clean. Those vents gather lots of crud.

While distilled and deionized water offer a purity aspect, I would stay away from "soft" water. Water is softened by adding salt (NaCl-sodiium chloride) to the water. Salt water causes corrosion - ask anyone who lives near an ocean or has run at Bonneville. Aluminum does not like salt.
