:bow Congrats buddy. :bow No one deserves a GT more than you. Only trouble is, you will have to drive it like it's yours, not like some of the rides we had at MPG. Evelyn says she's ready for a ride anytime.
That is fantastic Mark, and next to blue its the best color. Now that you've got it, I think its only fair if you let Larry Boatner drive it a little and fry the tires down to the canvas, like you did to his GT500!
Should have bought RED! Now will see how you feel about replacing tires after one track day. Congratulations buddy, couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
Mark, Congratulations, that's fantastic news! Bring it with you to Arizona for the winter. I know the Arizona owners would love a drive with you. John and Michele
Congratulations Mark, great looking car. Now drive it like you stole it like you drive everybody else’s car LOL. What a fine addition to anybody’s garage. Glad it’s yours.
YEAAAHHH!!! Was so happy to learn of this last week, and now to get it DONE! And the irony, as I look at the pix, The job 1 banner in the background is today, 10 years ago. Also Ironic, today is Ethans, birthday.
Mark, I don't know if you remember giving me a ride around the SVT facility in Dearborn about nine years ago, but the GT prototype was flat black with clear plastic windows and (I believe) a 4.6-liter V8. I'll never forget it (or the reactions we were getting from other drivers -- those guys in the Volkswagen GTI almost crashed because of their rubbernecking on the Southfield Freeway). That was the trip when I interviewed the entire GT team as the car was being developed, and I still remember the entire two-day trip quite clearly.
Anyway, so glad you've got your own GT now. I think you should put plastic windows in it to pay homage to all the workhorses you drove, but that's just me. :lol
