My buddy just put a deposit down on a GT500 on the west coast. Should arrive at the dealer in about 2 weeks. And then he has to ship it all the way back to Wisconsin.

You can arrange to have it drop shipped to another dealer. The ordering dealer has to agree to it as part of the ordering process though (and some may not.) The receiving dealer expects the dealer prep portion.
