GT350 clone

My GT350 Clone that I've had for 21 years. It had the Cragar Shelby wheels and it needed new tires so I decided to try a different look. I went with the Torque Thrust D's and then I threw on some vintage static cling racing stickers. It is fun and gets a ton of looks with the full "race" look. Yeah, I know the Goodyear sticker does not match the tires. May put Goodyear billboards on it, but they are not DOT approved. Very limited in what tires are made in 15" any more.

I've got a 302 Ford racing crate motor in it with a supercharger and 5 speed trany. Lots of other goodies that I won't bore you with. Still enjoy driving it a lot. I drive it usually at least once a week.

Good looking car. I always had a soft spot for the GT 350. The first vehicle I ever owned was a 1968 Suzuki 250 X-6 Hustler. I did not know how to drive a stick so my dad (old hot rod drag racer), and I went out to look at the first car I wanted to buy. It was a 1965 GT 350, the 50th one made. We got in the car to go for a test drive and my dad took off smoking the tires in first and second gear. When we got back from the test drive my dad said "son I think this is too much car for your first car". So I did not get to spend $1,600.00 on my first car purchase. I sometimes wonder where that car is now.

Thanks guys. It was a labor of love when I brought it to life and I still enjoy it as much as I did when I first started driving it. I was eight years old when these were new. I was in awe then, and they still stir my soul.

Nice ride. Gotta love the Shelby GT350 - I've had three of them, plus a '68 GT500 convertible - wish I still had them all......

Those all look great! I like the stealthy white one with no top stripes. From what I have read, many of them came to the dealer like that and the dealers added the stripes.

I've had two, 6S1325 and 6S322, which I still have. 6S322 was sold new here in Alaska. I can't imagine what it must of been like to drive that thing in the winters up here!

- wish I still had them all......

I believe most of us can say the same thing about various cars we've owned over the years...but, the sad truth is we'd each need a warehouse the size of Jay Leno's garage to house them all...and then there'd be all that upkeep... :willy

Thanks, Mark. Here is a fairly crappy cell phone picture of the engine.
