I've finally got a kit available as a whole that will allow you to install the LED Illumination Kits in the GT Engine bays.

This is the easiest solution! Really slick too!

You can wire up this kit to a constant 12V source and control the LED's on demand with a pair of wireless remotes.
So you can park your GT's at shows or parking lots, and control your Engine Lighting kit without having to start the car, or get in and out of the car.

$129 for the kit - includes 2 LED strips in colors of your choice, as well as a Pair of wireless remotes with a control box!

I still haven't installed mine. Thanks for the reminder. Good project now that the garage is warm.

Can the button batteries and push-button switch be cut off? They don't seem to serve any purpose once the LEDs are wired into 12v.
