Yes! Funny (well in hindsight funny) story. As we're BSing, the question of gauge failure inevitably comes up. Of the four GTs there at the time, no gauge failures. After my car was done, we leave it idling outside for a half hour to get the coolant circulating. Then Denis looks at the gauges and asks me if I came on an empty tank. The gas gauge shows dead empty. I had about 3/8 tank when I got there. 3/8 tank burned from 30 min idling? What are the odds of a gauge failure at that moment? Then, while we're all standing around the car, the gauge starts slowly climbing. It took a few minutes, but it finally got back to 3/8.

There are gremlins in these electronics.

Well here we are a week later and I can happily say this GT event was a huge success. Rich and Dennis started out of Michigan on Monday morning and now as I type this they are on the way back home. I want to thank everyone involved (Gary, Pete, Joe, Kevin, Steve, Glen, George, Dave, Howard, Tom, Jason, Carl, and Jim) for making it possible to have Rich and Dennis work on our GT's. Here are a few pictures of the event and THANKS again Rich and Dennis you guys are awesome!

Nice garage John.

What's with the crate engine?

Not sure if it will go into a future project or not but I have had it for a few years now.
We try to put some WD40 in each cylinder and turn the motor over every year.

Also want to give a shout out to our new forum member "Anthony" as he spent Friday with us studying the cars, asking questions, and getting ready for his purchase of a Ford GT. Great times!

Nice to see the experts working on the FGTs.

I have the same oil changing tank, but the color on mine has faded from leaving it outside :lol
