Barring explosions or other catastrophic issues (like last year) I should make it.

Plans for our GT Getaway Weekend 2, the 18th & 19th of May, are just about finalized.

At this point, I need a very close count of those planning to attend.

I will be posting final details within the next week. I hope we can have a great turn out.

Thanks
Rich :thumbsup

Phoenix Area Drivers.

Phoenix Area Attendees,

Rich has asked me to organize the Phoenix/Scottsdale group drive up to Kingman like last year and of course I'm happy to do it. As there is a full schedule of events on Saturday we will need to leave pretty early. Scottsdale area drivers can meet at my home in north Scottsdale for great Starbucks Coffee and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts at 6:30 AM on Saturday the 18th, we will depart my home at 7:00 AM and drive to the Deer Valley Airport where we will meet up with drivers coming from other parts of the Phoenix area or Tucson. We will leave the Deer Valley Airport at 7:30 sharp. This year we will be going up through Wickenburg, AZ on Highway 60 to Highway 93. Please send me a PM and let me know if you'll be joining us at my home or at Deer Valley. If you have a question you can call me at 602-430-4877. Last year we had a great time and this year will be even better. Be there or be square. :cheers

For a rough count, well then yes. Will probably join up near Kingman this year rather than go south and north again. Looking forward to seeing itinerary.

I am so sorry to say that we Mooses are migrating East and won't be in town that weekend. Rich - we had a blast last time (and I loved seeing the sheep - and of course, the distillery!) and are so sorry to miss it! Please take plenty of pics and post for those of us who can't make it. We send you off with well wishes!!

Lady & Mr Moose.

18 days till it starts. Plans are all set. What a weekend it will be. Think of it as a REAL early warm up for Rally 8.
This will be a mystery trip. No one will know the full itinerary at the start, (I will) but I guarantee you will have a memorable weekend. You will see things you didn't know existed. As we complete an event, you will be give the next page of the travel guide outlining whats coming. :confused Think of it as a drive into the unknown.
As :bow Chip has posted, the early meeting place will be at his house, and actual start will be at 7:30 AM on Saturday, the 18th at the Deer Valley airport in Phoenix.
Chip has the first pages of the travel book. All participants will get one at the start. (one per car)

GTs are not required. If your car can make it 600 or so miles, your good. (fly in and get a rental)
Bring your Camera
Anticipation of a great time is a must
An actual good time is a must
A good reason to hit the gym afterwards should be expected

PM Chip for directions to his place or the Deer Valley Airport.
For anyone not starting in Phoenix, PM me for a meeting place.
Hope to see you there.

I'm sorry the Moose's won't be making the trek. They will be missed.
Rich :thumbsup

I think you scared the Mooses with the "hit the gym" comment. What kind of sadistic ritual do you have planned?

For anyone not planning to start the tour in the Phoenix area, you can meet up with the group in Kingman. We should be at the Chevron station at I-40 and Rt.66 (exit 53 on I-40) around 10 AM on Saturday, the 18th. Hope to see you there. :thumbsup

Getting close boys and girls.
There is still time to make plans for our little outing. Rooms are still available. If you miss this one, you'll have missed something special. You will also miss the chance to gain an extra few pounds. Come on, make that gym membership worth it. And remember, Weight Watchers is just a mouse click away!
