GT Get Away Weekend

Sorry for the delay. There is a possibility that our great moderator, Chip Beck, will be heading up the Phoenix start of the tour. I'm sure he will jump in and fill in details soon. I have made arrangements with the Hampton Inn & Suites in Kingman for a special rate of $99.00 a night. Their number is, (928) 692-0200. Ask for the day manager, Stephini, and tell her you are with the Ford GT weekend. I've also set up the distillery tour. That place smells so good, I almost wanted to started drinking again after 25 years. Late lunch on Sunday will be at one of the Casinos in Laughlin, NV. That will leave plenty of time to get back to Phoenix on Sunday evening.

I made my reservations for the Hampton Inn for Saturday night, May 12. Looking forward to the getaway.

I'll be driving down to Phoenix on May 11 (it'll be a long day!). I'm booked into the Scottsdale Comfort Suites Old Town at 3275 N. Drinkwater Blvd. for the night of May 11, but will probably be arriving late.

Mr. Moose and I may be in a small SUV rather than the GT; if so, we will be happy to be the unofficial GT TRUNK and haul luggage for as many as we can.

Phoenix area Rally to GT Get Away Weekend.

Gentlemen,

Sorry I'm late posting up. I've been in Texas with Charley and his A&M Rugby Team this weekend and in CA for GT Speed Day last weekend. On Saturday May 12 I will leave my home at 7:30 AM and owners are welcome to arrive for coffee and doughnuts any time after 6:30. We will drive to the Deer Valley Airport (near I-17 just north of the 101) to meet owners who live on the other side of town. We'll depart Deer Valley Airport at 8:00 AM and head north on I-17. Members from Prescott or Flagstaff can link up when we pass by. Send me a PM so we can coordinate. My cell # is (602) 430-4877 and I'm available just about any time. This is going to be a lot of fun and thanks to Rich for putting it together.

Glad everyone can make it. I'm really getting pumped up. I've added a special side trip for Saturday. It's a surprise, but EVERYONE, make sure you have cameras. This whole trip is about great vistas, great cars, great food, and above all, GREAT people.

The only GT in this neck of the woods is owned by my friend Frank. I call him my dinosaur pal, as he has no computer, and only knows the latest on GT's through me. He will be joining us with his 06.

Thanks to Chip for handling the Phoenix end. I've been sleeping a lot better now.
I need a head count ASAP, as I need to make sure my restaurant reservations are up to date. If we have enough people, I'll try and get private rooms.

Rich, Do to circomstances outside of my control don't worry about making any reservations for Michele and me. We'll be coming back later that afternoon or early evening so we'll probably just make it up to Prescott with the gang. Even know it's a short run, we're still looking forward to it.

It's getting close. Arrangements and reservations are 99.99999 % complete. Still waiting for a final head count, but I should have the number of reservations covered anyway.
I would suggest that you stop eating today or tomorrow, so you will have room for all the great stuff this weekend.
And don't forget, cameras are a must.
