Thanks for the comments.
I have to say I have been driving the 458 non stop since Saturday. But today I hopped in the GT while the weather is still tolerable and there is NOTHING like a GT.
I would say in my limited experience the gawk factor is about the same with maybe an edge to the GT. We don't have a lot of exotics around here, and folks tend to think Ferraris all replicas.
Its funny , and makes no sense, but friends who never asked for a ride in the GTs or my other cars suddenly want a ride in the 458. The same thing is said. "I have never been in a Ferrari." I guess the rationale is I have been in a Ford----no explaining that one.
The ride is hard to compare because the 458 ride is about anything you want it to be and it sticks like glue. Much more of a sense of being the driver in GT.
At 6'4" or more I am a little better off in the GT but the 458 is plenty roomy. I am not sure I fully appreciate the options which are many. the front lift is neat. The upgraded JBL system is not as good as the one on my CTS-V. Carbon fiber is nice as are wheels. If you are a gadget freak, this is the car for you.
