Well here they are! Everything went awesome. The weather wasn't perfect but it wasn't raining to hard. We pulled it in and wiped it down right away and she was shining. You really have to see the Liquid Red in person under the some sort of light. It is incredible.
So to clear this up first. This is my dad's car! He worked for Ford for almost 40 years and collects cars (all Fords and nothing else). He has cars from the 1920's and up. He lives on a dirt road so once he decided he wanted a Ford GT i was out of room in my garage because i had my 07 GT500 and is 05 GT in it. So i decided to build a garage on my property to put more of his "sport cars" in it so we can keep them off the dirt road. Luckily for me i now have easier access to them!
Back to the delivery. Steve from Ford Performance was awesome. He took his time to go over everything with us and it was very informative to say the least. The biggest thing is to pay attention on what to do if your battery is dead, how to charge the car and how to put the car in Neutral if it is dead. The Ti exhaust looks great in person. I can't tell the difference in sound but we didn't have another one here to compare it it. My dad invited some of his friends and they had a great time. Some listened to Steve talk and some just hung out. As long as everyone isn't super loud and partying it up i would recommend inviting some family/friends. But as Chip said, 50 or so people would probably be to much!
The plan now is to have it wrapped at the end of the month along with Andy's GT. We are going to trailer both cars to Motor City Solutions to do the work. Hopefully we will have some decent weather to at least take it out once or twice in November.
Thanks everyone again for accepting Brian (owner of Pat Milliken Ford) and I into this group. It is awesome to talk cars and hang out with all of you in person and on the web. We look forward to doing more of it in the future! Brian got allocated an 18 GT so we look forward to taking delivery of that!
