I might be interested. How long does it last before you see a lot of distortion or peeling? I only drive about 1000 miles per year and almost no track use. I'm concerned about sand blasting from the dry desert UTAH roads during the rally like DBK mentioned.

Great question. I have no personal experience with the product but others say it isn't a permanent solution. Maybe DBK or someone else can answer that.

Spoke to Pro-Tint today and they are planning on being at the hotel on Wednesday, 8/23 to install our tear-offs. They are also working on a slight group discount for us (thanks Pro-Tint!). More details to come on the exact time/location, etc. over the next couple of weeks.

Anybody else want in on this group buy to protect your windshield?

Are they able to do any other cars, like a Lotus Elise for example?
 
They will do any car.

Also not sure if the same applies to the 05/06 cars but we had to pull the wiper for the install on the '17's. If so, someone should take a small gear puller or wiper puller. On the '17's the wiper's wouldn't budge without it.

Put me down as a possible 2 layer depending on the answer to my question above on how long it will last in an unclimate controlled garaged car. Thanks.

I asked them about longevity and they couldn't give me a specific answer. They said that out of sunlight and in a climate controlled environment is the best possible circumstance but they couldn't quote a specific length of time.

Yes, they can definitely do the Lotus as well. You're on the list too!

Currently they are planning on being set up on Wednesday, 8/23 to do as many cars as they can and possibly on Thursday AM before any driving starts. They're going to touch base with me again today to hammer out the details.
