This morning, through an unusual set of circumstances, I had the opportunity to meet another car guy in San Diego. We met at his business location and I was totally blown away with the quality of his personal collection. He is also a genuinely fine person. What first caught my eye was a white GTX1 from a GT originally owned by Nicholas Cage, next to 427 and 289 Shelby Cobras...along with a '53 Vette, SL300 Vert, 430 Spider, '58 Corvette and a couple 427/435 Vettes, GTO, '60 Impala 348 3x2 Vert, 57 Fulie Bel Air Vert, Ford Speedster Woodie and numerous 1930's 12 cylinder Cadillacs, Lincolns, Packards, a Dusenberg and others. These examples were so fine, the "high" lasted most of the day. The owner is Chuck Spielman, and he does maintenance and restorations of just about everything. If you ever have the opportunity to visit his showroom, there will be no regrets. Some of his car can be seen on his website www.oldautos.com The company name is as unassuming as Chuck. What a great guy. :cheers
