It might be useful for those working on the "bolt" pblm to know whether the cars that have HAD bolt failures also have the "uneven gaps" discussed on Gimbal's thread.
If all the failures happened on "uneven gap" cars, and NONE on those with "even gaps", we may be onto something ... just don't ask ME what that may be.
Would those of you WHO HAVE HAD 'BOLTS BREAK care to check the gaps on your cars & post the results? ( I asked this on that other thread, but, it kinda got buried!)

('Might be good info for DBK to include in his project as well.)

It would be interesting to hear from some on here that have higher miles on their car, 10,000 to 15000 miles or more that haven't had a failure what their gaps look like.

True. But, for now lets just keep it simple & deal with the "do yuh, or don't yuh" question!:lol

(Actually, if you think about it, if there's a solid pattern shown with the gap/break question ... all the hi mile cars SHOULD BE in the "other" group 100%. Or at least you'd THINK so anyway...)

How about adding mileage to the "do yuh , or don't yuh" answer ????????

'Looking for just what was indicated - to see if "uneven gaps" are present on the cars with the busted 'bolts. If that IS the case, (none were "even gap" cars) it might help those trying to solve the problem find an answer.

That's it.

No sinister plot afoot.....................:cheers
