I don't know if anyone has posted pics of full carbon fiber doors before, so here they are. Apologize if it is a repost. Added a couple of the dash for good measure...

What is that on your seats??? Carbon fiber?

Kips stuff deserves it's place at the Smithsonian Institution. :thumbsup

They are made out of a "tweed" that resembles carbon fiber and I thought they went well with my interior since I have so much carbon fiber. I had them custom made with 1" of foam installed to make the seat more comfortable as well. I also paid the extra bucks and had him stitch in the "doughnuts" that match up perfectly with the ones in the seats. Best seat covers I have seen yet for the GT. BSmooth does them, excellent quality & a nice guy with great service. Here is his website:

I'll need to call them for the "Denim" material I put in. Those track events in the 90-100's are just sweat producing. Can't just throw my seats in the washer currently! :eek

A guy just finds everything on this forum. :thumbsup

Wow, very nice!! Your gal's dress matches the Epic Orange paint!! Oh, and the CF looks amazing too!! :thumbsup Maybe a dumb question, how much lighter than the stock trim??

Now I'm going to try to find Stormcat's thread about those pedals! Me likey very much!! I'd ask Stormcat to point me in the right direction, but I haven't even met Frank yet, I'd hate to have him think I'm taking away from Brian's time in making some red bottle holders. :biggrin

Wow, Bsmooth offers some nice stuff that APPEARS TO BE READILY AVAILABLE (unlike bottleholders). Do you have cutouts for the racing belts? (Can't quite see that in the pictures)

No, they don't have the cutouts for the racing harness, but I am certian that he will do it for you. He made a couple custom tweeks to mine.

Gulf GT - Yeh, the CF is cool but I dig that groovy Super Rat in the background! Did you restore it? I love 60-70s dirt bikes!

Yes, I had Lee Fabry do it a few years ago. It's a perfect 100 point bike. I love riding it through the neighborhood waking up the dead! Man that thing is loud. Brings back great memories every time I take it out or even just look at it.

Kip does great work! Doors, pedals and seats all look great!

Ah yes, I still have my 1973 Dirt Squirt, great memories. Tops out at about 50 but will climb a tree. I bought it new with my paper route money the summer after 6th grade.

That's what I was asking you about yesterday. Pretty cool ehhh!? Kip calls them a binnacle cluster or somethin'.
