Saw this photo so I thought I would share why we need safety gear when working on our cars.

Excellent reminder and the reason why I use metal diamond blades rather than composite abrasive blades. My first product liability case involved an abrasive street saw blade that failed in tension with gruesome results.

Gentlemen,

Last week I stopped in to see my airplane tech Heath Lhoste at Performance One Aviation and he was wearing an eye patch. He always wore safety glasses but while zip tieing wires under an airplane dash he took them off to see better. When he cut an old zip tie off the end sprung around and cut his eye badly requiring surgery and a lengthy recovery with no guarantee of complete success. Damn. I’ve resolved to be more careful about protecting my eyes every time I pick up a tool.
