'05 0054 - That's an early car! Only1430 miles - must have been basically a garage queen.

VIN 00054.... can you say speedi-sleeve?

#0507 also has a speedi-sleeve. So unless mine is the final build number that required the fix, probably can be found on everything inbetween, and perhaps some following. The trade off is the nicer A arms.:biggrin
I also had seen this package on ebay yesterday and only wish . . . but as well as these cars are holding up, I might never need it.

I think I just bought it:biggrin

You think!!! :thumbsup

The seller is the guy who drove the Veyron off into the Galveston bay. Maybe he needs money to cover his insurance deductible.:lol

Can you look at your engine and tell if you have the Speedi Sleeve?

Methinks it's somewhere between the flywheel and the crankshaft's inside - it would be quite difficult to see the crankshaft rear bearing without X-Ray vision.

Yes, If you have done a bit of dissassembly:

Pete, what did you do now? Maybe you should by the spare engine?

Mike that's old news. Had a small amount of transaxle fluid atop the engine covers every time I did an oil change: I did a whole thread on it somewhere in the gt tech section. A small weld by a competent welder and a new speedi sleeve, since we were in there, a new seal, and it's been dry as a ________ since then. Now, when do you plan to step out of your garage, walk across the street, and join us when we all are at VIR?
