Lol nothing is missing, everything is on the car as of Monday at 1:57pm. We have been unable to verify the rattle on the dash by the ac though. But everything is cool on it.
Abolfaz you need to come pick this car up, its right in front of my office staring at me. And to be honest with you its making me uncomfortable, its scary. Please come get it.

Abolfaz your GT is done, see my other post in regards to the tranny issue for what we came up to be the only "logical" answer. Seems to work for me but take a look at it anyways.

Which post?

Looks like someone doesnt want their car back lol. Been finished for a few days Abolfaz but we havent been able to get a hold of you. Hope all is ok, your baby is being watched over but Im sure you want her back.

Anyone looking to buy a very nice white ford GT. Looks like we have an abandoned vehicle on our hands. I may have to take it and give it a nice home in my garage. hehe

I am sure Abolfaz is buried with business at the Miami Boat Show this week.

I've been up for 4 days w/o sleep. I went over and saw Tim today in a zombie like trance after delivering a complete yacht to the boat show. When I wake up I'll post my impresions of my experience with the crew at maroone...

OK guys, call me what you want stephan, but this car IS A PIECE OF $HIT!

I picked the car up on friday, drove it saturday, took it out tonight and guess what I just finished doing? WALKING HOME WHILE MY PIECE OF $HIT was broken down on the side of the road with the exact same F-CKEN FAILURE!

I'm so pissed off I can barely contain myself. I'm pleased to tell you that I'm off to push the car out of the road and wait for the tow truck.

Please keep this thread on topic so all the owners here can see what I'm going through with this pile of $HIT! Post your photo stuff elsewhere.

The first time this happened the shaft fell out of the tranny all together, at least this time part of it stayed in. Both times this happened while I was driving less than 40 mph while coasting in third gear, NO HARD DRIVING WHATSOEVER!

Thats the end of the story for me and this car, I've lost all faith in the car and no longer trust that the car can get me around without breaking down.

I am sorry to hear about your problems. After waiting for such a long time for your car to be repaired, then to have the same problem happen again, would really piss me off.

I am about to pull the trigger on buying a GT have one lined up, but stories like your are leading me have some doubt. What dealers for this limited production car know how to work on it? Or are they all this inept! My pass experience with Chevy dealers is about the same as yours with Ford. They just don't QA there work. Half the time the car comes back worst than when it went into the shop. I therefore in the pass tended to do a lot to the work myself.

Should I expect more time in the shop than in my own garage? What is the experience of the other owners on this forum?

BlackIce, I'm not laying the blame on the dealer or the mechanic. Its just that in all my years I have never seen this kind of failure, neither has anybody that I know of.

If youre close on buying a GT go talk to people that own them and have put some miles on them, frankly the opinion of a GT owner that has a few hundred miles on their car doesn't really mean that much to me. Where did the member here that had the GT and got rid of it to get the gallardo go?

From here on, lets keep this thread about the owner, his car, and what happens now. I edited out some superfluous discussion per albofaz's request.

I order a repair manual for the car, but I don't have it yet, so I don't know how anything about the halfshafts. Does anyone know how the halfshafts are retained? The usual configuration is that they are free to slide on the spines, but are limited in axial movement so that they cannot come completely out of the transaxle. How can/did the shaft move so far that the spines disengaged? Did the same bolt break again?

There are two small bolts that hold the shafts in, but they don't do such a great job... :frown

Speachless. This is the second time this car has left me on a dark road, blind curve, at night, stuck like a deer caught in the oncoming traffics headlights. Can you blame my wife for not wanting to get in the car again?

Even worse, you can't push the car without denting it! My car had the regular film of crap on the back so when we had to push the car, I ruined another shirt and pair of pants. Can I give ford a bill?

Has anybody else had any serious failures? I've kept quiet about the other problems the car has had, but from now on until I get rid of it, I'm going to post every problem I have with it from loose nuts and bolts all the way to parts falling off the car. Does anybody here see any way for Ford to make this right?

Perhaps we could start a petition with assistance from the guys on this forum. Could someone suggest how we could start something like this? Maybe someone could draft a petition that all of us can download, sign and mail to a common address. When enough of these petitions have arrived, put them in a huge envelope and Fed-Ex it to the Chairman of Ford Motor Company asking for a brand new replacement car.

I think the member's of this forum would be willing to sign a piece of paper and mail it... Jay

Thanks Jay, but as I mentioned before, I'm really over this car. Ask every car guy you know and see if anyone has ever heard of this kind of failure. Fortunately in Florida we have other ways of dealing with these kinds of problems, but a petition would be nice just so that the execs at ford will get the message.
