So it works pretty well? I have it for my new 17 Escape but the app seems to have been panned by the critics. Guess I need to download to the phone and get used to it.
I mean as far as lock, unlock, start, stop; yes. Also points out vehicle location, distance to empty, mileage, next service, etc. I didn't bother to look too hard at what else it does.

Nice feature. I've had in my Ram EcoDiesel since 2014.... Ok, but admittedly cooler to see a supercar start remotely.

Not sure how the tech works,, with all the phone hacking etc any concerns about phone hacking or system hacking making it easy for someone else to open and start the car ?

'Kinda neat tech', but would anybody really use it?
I can't see anybody taking the chance of starting their car while not in it....to control it......in an emergency. It's not a daily driver where you might want to warm up the car during a cold winter.

Freak people out at car shows. Clicking before startup is the car locking. Wont' start unlocked, or with the trunk unlatched. Probably wouldn't advise leaving the car alone with the doors up.

This is how the phone remote start feature is advertised for different brands. Leaving a sporting event? Remote start your car and depending on ambient temps, the remote start feature will set the climate control system - overriding the setting it was last at. Also, if temps below a certain threshold, heated seats and steering wheel will be rendered on. When driver enters the vehicle and presses the RUN button (although engine already running), settings are all returned to the last set position.

Very cool app. Customers seem to love it. You can also pre-set remote start times, not that you would use that much or if at all for the GT. 
Also the app is free to use for 5 years. After that there is a monthly and/or yearly fee which hasn't been released yet.

You just have to compare each car's sound at idle... and the Tesla is a non-starter (uh, no pun intended).
