I know I know,...... but on Towing, "pe2unia" confirmed my fear at Carlisle, as he used his raptor, vs expidition. Not a good enough tow vehicle....

Andy ~ You NEED a Raptor!!

Raptor SuperCrew is rated to tow up to 8,000 pounds, complementing its unparalleled off-road capabilities.

About the width. My son has a standard F150 and his truck drives/feels the same width even tho the Raptor is almost 7 inches wider. We have a one car entrance into our motor court and pulling in or backing in they really feel the same. Has something to do with the way the fender flares make it look smaller. I can also attest to the 8K towing. Had no problem with the two car trailer loaded. Drove mine to Beaumont today to play golf with Ben (Beckert B) and I average 13.5 mpg at 70 mph. BTW- 80 mph was around 12 mpg.

Won't comment on the Golf play we had......eventually had to stop counting strokes but the truck looked fantastic!

Guys,

Just had my JBA exhaust installed on the Raptor. WOW, wonderfull. It is the side exhaust, in front of pass. wheel, and has twin tips. Was worried it might be to loud, I have a Nascar so to loud is relative, but it has the perfect deep growl at idle then stays about the same as you accelerate to highway speeds. NO DRONE at speed. I think it will pass the wife thinks it is loud, but not to loud test. There is a very fine line there.... Do not know what the rest of you are doing but I put in a vote for the JBA.

Larry Boatner

BTW- Playing golf with Ben is a trip. He drives a golf cart exactly like he does a race car. Also next time you see him ask about those recaps he is using on his golf shoes.......

I have had mine for a while now. Had the stage 2 Rousch package installed and a few other mods. This is by far the best daily driver I have ever owned. I am in the Oil and Gas business and my truck has to serve many purposes. One day I am downtown picking up high level clients, the next I am running down rough lease roads, and then I may be taking customers hunting on the weekends. I can open it up on the highway and sit on 90mph without a worry.

I cant comment on towing because I got to my F350 for that.

I just ordered my Raptor today.... Silver w/o graphics. I am planning on the Rousch stage 2 package upon delivery. ( in Canada we cannot import from Rousch new or used although we can have the package dealer installed.) Delivery by the new year with any luck!

You will not regret it, especially with the package. And the truck really comes alive at about 8k miles, or at least mine did. I am close to 11k and it runs like a scalded ape. And don't get to rapped up on gas mileage. Good gas mileage is over rated, lol
