Yes, a decal would be cheesy.. who would ever suggest that ?
Andy (ajb):):)
But , down the road someone will try it I am sure.

Only time will tell whether I made the correct choice - no AC will be difficult to live with i'm sure. I like driving my cars so it wont be fun if the hot summer months are out of bounds because of the excessive heat in the car - but it does look spectacular with the exposed carbon parts and unique CS bits - so extremely happy right now!!!

I think the suffering would be worth it where you live. I'm in Florida, so there is a risk I'd burst into flames. :lol

Concierge gave me a call a few days ago, my order process is started so I'm on the clock now. Going to try to do custom paint so it'll take awhile. Glad to get things moving though. One month ahead of schedule.

Do you know if the schedule has moved up for all future GT’s
I was told a long time ago that I would get my ordering kit “closer to mid 2018”.
I believe the number of cars being manufactured every month has been increased.
How did you receive notice that your date was being
moved up?
Thank you.
Best wishes.

If it's any help, I know what I'd choose if I was going to drive it a lot like you said and not make it a museum queen, I'd choose the comfortable A/C over the looks. I've never been a fan of the carbon fiber look, so that also helps my choice. With a decal, you also have the flexibility to change it down the road to a different color and get a whole new look. You may get tired of the carbon fiber stripe in 10 years, but I doubt you'll ever get tired of the comfort. As AJB said, you won't be able to add A/C later unless you dismantle the entire car down to the frame, the decal stripe is easier to change -- look how many 2017 owners are adding decals to their cars, so obviously, it's not a big deal.

Concierge gave me a call saying it was my time to begin the order process. I was scheduled for end of May beginning of April so I would say they're running about a month ahead of schedule because of this.

carbon fiber is hard to do with vinyl and get it to look right. If you do a real carbon inlay on a complete part and gel coat it in then it can pass.

Careful who you insult. There are a lot of fine people on this Forum using stickers and personally I think they look great.

Maybe if I go to corporate headquarters with a GT Forum shirt on and handcuff myself to inside the lobby and protest that I'm not going to leave till I have a carbon stripe on my air conditioned car will work. What say ye?

Worth a try. If you don't ask, you don't get. Maybe take your wife and have her cry a lot.

It worked on Heidi's last speeding ticket!

At the moment my favorite is that '67 Heritage. It has the right mix of throwback and lean forward. Doesn't look like a legal street car.
