CA requires it but in the last 29 years that I have lived here I haven't used a front plate.

Texas requires a front plate but most car enthusiasts just ignore the law and don't display it.

Not sure. The sport cups aren't supposed to be driven in freezing temps so I doubt it.

Special Ed, don't come to San Francisco with a without front plate car..., if you need to park your car on the streets. I live in the suburb of SF, and I park my car in the garage of my office in SF, so I hardly park any of my cars without front plate on SF's streets, but in the past 3 years, 90% of the time I park my cars on SF streets, I get a tix....!! Good thing they are either pay or fix-it tix, so I fix it..! What a drag..
