I've had my Ford GT listed for 2 months now and have not received any interest. Am I listing it in the wrong place? [Here on the forum and on cosignment with Lamborghini Atlanta]. They said they had also thrown it on ebay a couple of times.

Any suggestions on how to sell my GT?

Im sure Shelby or BJ can chime in here but i know from having been at the local MB dealer they have seen things fall off in realtime with the stock market. (not a good proxy for the GT but just saying...)The EUR/USD is now 1.23, so that may have dampened foreign demand as well. just my 0.02...

Color, mileage, specifics? Im looking for one and there seems to be a glut of red cars out there now.

EDIT: Just looked at the ad. Looks NICE! If I could stomach a black car, I would discuss.

Actually the sales of GTs have been very strong at least through the end of March. Ferraris and Lambos are ridiculously at the bottom now. Specialty cars with no stories are strong.

I noticed prices took a big leap recently. Maybe that has something to do with any slowdown if it does exist.

I thought Black was in high Demand?

Solution.

If your Ford GT is not moving fast enough, send it to Jason Heffner. It will move considerably faster and then you probably won't want to sell it. :thumbsup

All comes down to price. Sprite I think yours is priced a touch high?

GTs are selling like crazy. I am the largest Volume Retailer in GTs and I only have two left in stock and am actively buying more. They are selling as soon as I advertise them. It all comes down to price and condition. Also makes a big difference who is marketing the car.

P.S. The GTs are very mile sensative and many perspective buyers tend to want low or very low miles. With your car being right there at almost 10k miles and being advertised at around the same money as cars with half the miles is in my opinion your biggest problem. Your lambo has been for sale equally as long, correct?

I am a dealer in business over 35 years. There is only one thing that keeps anything from selling. PRICE. Condition, miles, history etc are only variables....the main factor is price.....on anything actually. :cheers

Try selling a Viper. I have an 09 with 3900 miles on sale for $69K (msrp $94K) Geez

Someone will always come along to purchase your ride. I've had several cars for sale for a while & i do get alot of inquiries but everyone is either cash poor or wants to trade...
Cash is still King...You just have to have enough....

Agreed, if you factor in marketing an advertising (along with the forementioned factors) you may or may not get more. You won't need to market or advertise much if the price is low enough. Anything with a great price will sell. You can sell immediately through wholesale and that is what I have based my business on. Sometimes wholesale can be as much or even more than I can get retail. Some dealers just "have to have it" and will pay good money. Sure there are low ball dealers (just like lowball retail buyers) but I know what I have and what I can get. Just isn't worth it to retail in many cases.

Personally, my advertising bill is zero. My overhead is lower than anyone's comparable business I'm sure.

Hooray. I can now retire on SS.:bs

I don't see your add in the for sale section of the forum?

I traded in my 03 Viper and got 3k less than what I originally paid for it (bought it used). I was pretty happy.
