Ford GTs at COTA

[Rick Mustang]

This weekend was the SCCA South major race at COTA in Austin, TX. A couple friends were running. Henry and I headed over via the hill country back roads, and the fastest speed limit road in Texas, Tollway 130. I won't admit what we did on the tollway, but here are few of the slower pics in the F1 garage. Rick

Cool pic's - I've tracked my GT there several times - what a great facility

I knew some people there racing. There were something like 77 gen 3 specracers that showed up. So many they put the gen2's in a separate run group.

This makes me wish our lap at COTA at Rally 11 had been by ourselves, at a quicker pace. Being behind a mini-van with the Mexican flag hanging out the window was kind of surreal. Still fun tho !

When I was racing SCCA we always watched the Spec Racer class as there would always be big classes and great battles all thru the pack

That's why ive loved it. Largest field I started was 98'at Sebring. It shocks me, realized ive been out of the car for 5 years. But in the final prep now to run again this year. New belts and helmet are already in hand,
